CAMILLE PAVY CLAIBOURNE, RN, PhD, is a nationally recognized expert in nursing and management and former board president of Hospice of Acadiana, based in Lafayette, Louisiana.

President and CEO of Cabill, Inc., a consulting company for leadership development and creativity, she is a Certified Emergenetics Associate and healthcare consultant.

Dr. Claibourne is an adjunct professor at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette for the MBA and nursing graduate programs. She is a former long-term Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of various departments of Lafayette General Medical Center.

She holds a PhD in human and organization development, with emphasis on thanatology, the study of death and dying, and a master’s in organizational behavior, both from Fielding Graduate University. She also earned a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

She is a Johnson & Johnson Nurse Executive Fellow after attending the Wharton School of Business in Philadelphia. Among her numerous awards is the 1995 Louisiana State Nursing Association’s Nursing Administrator Award. She lives in Lafayette with her husband, Bill.
