JACKLYN SONNIER HIRSHBERG is an anthropologist who studied at the University of Houston, focusing on the culture of Native American Indians. After living in Houston for 25 years, she returned to her hometown of Lafayette, Louisiana. She lives in the house in which she was born and works every day in the yard and gardens her father loved. She has a house and yard full of various animals, all friends of Roger The Tree Frog, and all of which she loves to photograph. This is her second book, the first being Nicky The Swamp Dog.
